Crafted with Care, Assembled in Our Factory

YOGURTiA is manufactured in our own factory in Japan, where we focus on the quality of each product. Each product is carefully assembled by hand. Temperature control is another key feature of our fermenters. With 75 years of experience in thermal management, TANICA ELECTRIC has developed advanced technology to ensure precise temperature control. The heaters, which are the core of the product and transmit temperature, are meticulously installed by skilled workers.

Quality that won’t let you down

Actual customer feedback we have received includes comments like, “I can now make food that tastes good” and “I no longer make mistakes” after replacing a competitor’s yogurt maker with YOGURTiA.

TANICA’s Technology

Enjoy a faster and more stable fermentation with a wide range of temperature settings.

With a temperature setting range of 77°F to 158°F, YOGURTiA can make everything from yogurt to miso, low-temperature cooking, and onsen eggs. It uses a more powerful heater than conventional models, allowing it to reach the set temperature faster and ensuring more stable fermentation.

With a starting water temperature of 41°F, a set temperature of 104°F, and a room temperature of 68°F,
it reaches the set temperature 90 minutes faster than the previous model.

Yogurt Makers from

When making yogurt or amazake, the key is accurate temperature control. Even if the settings on the display are the same (temperature setting, time, etc.), there are differences in the time it takes to reach the set temperature, and there are differences in the temperature in different parts of the container when measured.

A Compact Body that Holds a Microcomputer and A Powerful Heater

The reason why YOGURTiA can accurately control temperature is because it is equipped with a microcomputer. TANICA ELECTRIC was the first company in the world to install a microcomputer in a yogurt maker.
In order to maintain a consistant temperature, we also figured out a way to attach the heater. Instead of attaching the heater only to the bottom, we designed it to surround the main body, making it possible to maintain a consistent temperature.
The heater works at a powerful 30W, enabling stable temperature control regardless of the season.

Half a century dedicated to developing the perfect yogurt maker.

In 1971, TANICA ELECTRIC began manufacturing and selling Japan’s first electronic yogurt maker.
We have been manufacturing and selling yogurt makers since before yogurt was fully distributed in Japan.
Since then, we have been making yogurt makers for more than 50 years, and now we are actively promoting our commitment to fermented foods and helping people become familiar with fermented foods through a variety of contents.
